Children and Youth

We love our children and youth at River Church...
Children

Children

Seeing families grow in their love for Jesus is essential to our vision at River Church Sutton. Each child’s understanding of who Jesus is and why he came is key to all we do. Through storytelling, worship, prayer, games, fun and craft, we teach a full range of Bible stories and how they apply to our lives today – helping our children catch a hold of the wonder and awesomeness of God.

Sundays
We love kids at River Church and run a whole program of activities for those from reception to Year 6 to help them get as much out of Sundays as you do! This all takes place during the morning service. Visit our Sundays page for more.

Youth

Youth

River Church Youth is for young people from Year 7 and over. Our aim is to encourage and support young people to explore and develop a personal relationship with God, to look deeper into their faith and to examine what it means to be a Christian.

Sundays
Our youth group meets weekly at Highfield Hall from 11am-12pm during the Sunday morning service. We spend time playing games and talking about our weeks, before learning about God through Bible study and praying for each other. We tackle real-life issues grounded in Bible-based teaching. There is laughter, banter, discussion and real honesty as we share both the highs and the lows of life together. Visit our Sundays page for more.

Midweek
Youth group also meets 6–8pm on Thursday evenings in the coffee shop at Highfield Hall to do homework together, socialise and play games.

Social Events
In addition, we enjoy a range of social events held during half-terms and school holidays.
